To get SDLoad to boot you need to boot from a 2GB SD card formatted in FAT16 specifically loaded with the Action Replay Max disc. * Any size SD card up to 2 GB max can be used * The difference is that you use the app directory with the Wii for the Homebrew channel. I do not have a Wii, but I assume it works in similar fashion as it does on the GameCube. I can confirm it works with the GameCube. * Works with either Nintendo Game Cube or Wii * This means there are homebrew apps out there for GameCube and Wii that let you rip GameCube and Wii games to the SD card as well as apps made to play movies and music on your GameCube from your SD card or from a full-sized GameCube DVD drive mod or standard Wii DVD drive. * Use it to backup media using free custom applications * * The SD Gecko adapter must be used with free applications such as 'SD Load', a great file launching program *Īll you need to do to get this SDLoad up and running is to copy the contents of the zip file to the root of the SD card and run the SDpatch.exe tool included on the drive letter your SD card represents on your PC (usually ). Search ebay for it if you can't find it here. Further, to add to this, you need at most a 2GB card formatted in FAT16 with SDLoad installed in conjunction with the Action Replay for Nintendo GameCubeô & Wiiô Disc for this to be useful.

There are some that aren't listed on Wiibrew, like Not64 and WiiSXR I believe. This means that you need to use an original sized SD card or adapter with this. It's a wonderful and small console to run emulators on. There are quite a number of them that work near flawlessly on the system, and some that mostly work. As an example, here's a link to mine: Įmulators. Riitag is like a gamertag of sorts, but for the Wii (and WiiU now). USB loaders let you rip and play your games off of a USB drive and save the lifespan of your disc drive, as well as the discs themselves. Set up USB Loader GX and Nintendont, even set up Riitag if you want. Those are mostly what people use on Wiimmfi, but there are still people on there that play the vanilla game.

Try some game mods like Newer Super Mario Bros Wii or CTGP-R. (There is even an option to set this up in USB Loader GX, under "private server" I believe) As of writing this there are 465 people playing Mario Kart Wii and 9 people online playing Brawl. If you have Mario Kart Wii or Super Smash Bros Brawl, those are the most popular games to run on the service. Get the Everybody Votes Channel, Check Mii Out Channel, Nintendo Channel, Weather, and News all set back up and working again on your system.
